Program Information
New England College's School Principal Certification Program prepares educators to become certified as a School Principal in New Hampshire with a Master of Education, Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study or eligibility for a certification.

Model III: 1 Year Program with a yearlong Internship & Summer Residency
New England College and Principal Residency Network (PRN) Partnership

The low-residency model consists of 38 credits taken over one year. There are four terms of online coursework in
which students participate throughout the year (two 15-week terms and two 7-week summer terms). The
program is designed for students to spend 1 year interning under the mentorship of a certified school principal.
Students will also participate in a week long residency during the July/August summer terms

• Psychology of Learning Communities (4 cr.)
• Dynamics of Education Reform & Systems Change (4 cr.)
• Supervision of Curriculum & Instruction (3 cr.)
• Internship: School Principal I (1 cr.)
• Research Practica I (2 cr.)
• Educational Technology Leadership (2 cr.)
• School Law (3 cr.)
• Research Practica II (2 cr.)
• School Leadership (3 cr.)
• Educational Leadership & Critical Issues (3 cr.)
• School Finance & Policy (3 cr.)
• Internship: School Principal II (2 cr.)
• Fundamentals of Ed Inquiry: Action Research (4 cr.)
*Students in Models I and II will take Portfolios I-IV and students in Model III will take Portfolios I and IV.
